Orange CA Deep Tissue Massage
There is nothing like getting a good massage after a hard day's work. Next to an excellent dinner, having one's body worked over by an expert hand therapist is often enough to forget the tensions of the day. Surely, all the day's stresses seem to evaporate quickly as muscle after muscle is lovingly bulldozed by the combined use of pressure, caress, and slight friction here and there. From those working in the construction industry, deep tissue massage is a special request.
Many women have an adversity to the use of the high pressure and chopping actions used in this type of massage; however for many men it is their first choice, especially for men who are into body building or just working out at the gym regularly. For many busy women, a soft and relaxing massage will often be much more relaxing and they will typically have this done at their local spa or salon. However, this champion of multitasking definitely deserves to be rewarded for her hard work. Some women are more comfortable with the idea of having a masseur, but many prefer to have one of their favorite aestheticians work on them. These multitasking women also often use this time to get a manicure or pedicure while their masseuse is giving them a gentle massage.
Deep tissue massage primarily works well for men because they have skin that is much thicker. This makes them much less sensitive to the effects of friction and so they often need not just the hands, but elbows, forearms and knuckles to be involved as well. Maybe because it is widely appreciated in Japanese and Chinese cultures, men who have gained experience in massage often come to trust the capabilities of masseuses from these nationalities to use hard massage when necessary. Surely, the background of these experts in such other fields as Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Ninja training make them more suitable for the job.
It is a misunderstanding to assume that this type of deep tissue massage or muscle manipulation used as a type of therapy originated only in the East. In fact, Greek and Egyptian history is filled with examples of this type of recreation, or fountain of youth, which is certainly something Cleopatra, would have been a top advocate for. In modern times, though, it is definitely better go get a massage that is mediocre than to not have one at all. There is also no doubt that some marriages have lasted because they contain a healthy dose of massage exchanged between the partners. Some people even consider this massage to be more enjoyable than sex or even chocolate and would willingly give up one or both just to receive a great fifteen minute massage.
Hard or soft, this is the question associated with a massage session. Also, add to the variations these other options: baby powder, baby oil or lotion. Although coconut oil can make a wonderful alternative oil to use because of its alkaline or non acidic effects to the skin, the scent can be strong and sweet and can be offensive to some people looking for a massage.
Perhaps people are not willing to skip dinner in exchange for a round of Shiatsu, although it is best to seek this therapy before or long after supper. People with skin problems are enjoined to refrain from seeking such route to relaxation as this might exacerbate their epidermal condition. The same goes for individuals who have heart problems or undergoing radiation therapy for say, cancer, and other critical ailments.
Although deep tissue massage is a means to relieve sore muscles caused by overstretched tendons and ligaments, such heightened and specialized application of pressure does not augur well for nerves gone bad. Apparently, a fine line exists between the lump of muscle needing hand therapy and extremely sensitive nerve endings. Thus, it is best to seek the advice of one's family doctor prior to undergoing this therapy when the individual is suffering from a serious ailment.
